2025 Summer Camp Staff applications will be available on Monday, January 13. The deadline to submit your application is on Saturday, February 15.
Summer camp requires a dedicated staff of administrators, senior counselors, junior counselors, religious, and priests to help achieve our program goals. Staff members must have high moral character, live out Christian values, and serve as positive role models for young people.

This is a two-week position spanning either June 1-14 (boys), June 15-28 (boys), June 29 - July 12 (girls) or July 13-26 (girls). Any Junior Counselor who is selected will be REQUIRED to attend training on (May 31, 2025 for Boy's Camp and June 28, 2025 for Girl's Camp). All positions are paid. Junior Counselors do have the option of receiving service hours for one or both weeks of the session of which they are hired. See payscale below.
Senior Counselors, Administration, Extended Staff: Graduating high school seniors and older may apply to work as a Senior Counselor, Administrator or member of the Extended Staff (Nurse, Sacristan/Musician, Head Lifeguard, Canteen Manager or Arts & Crafts Manager). All positions, except for Nurses, are hired for either Boy's Camp (June 1-28) or Girl's Camp (June 29 - July 26). Nurses are hired for one-week sessions, unless otherwise indicated on the application. With the exception of some extended staff positions, any applicant who is hired will be REQUIRED to attend training (May 27-31, 2025 for Boy's Camp and June 24-28, 2025 for Girl's Camp). All positions are paid. See payscale below.
Counselors in Training: Our oldest campers may participate in our CIT program during their week of camp. This is not a staff position and therefore no application exists. Register along with other campers and more details about participating will be provided when the camping week begins.
Service Hours: Any staff member who requests service hours will be provided up to 50 hours per week in addition to the full pay they are due.
Pre-Camp Training: Senior Counselors will be paid a half-week salary for pre-camp training.
Recruitment Bonus: A bonus of $150 will be provided for any staff member who brings a new Senior Counselor to camp. The staff member is "new" if they have never worked for Camp Abbey Summer Camp before. The new applicant must be hired and work all four weeks, plus pre-camp. The new SC must name the recruiting staff member who recruited them (only one) on their application. The recruiting staff member may earn multiple Recruitment Bonuses.
Full Service Bonus: A bonus of $150 will be provided for all Senior Counselors who complete four full weeks of camp.
